WebA DNR order can be carried out for a patient who is not in a hospital, nursing home or licensed hospice when the order is evidenced in writing containing the patient’s name, date of the form, printed name of the attending physician, and signed by the attending physician on a form substantially similar to the one provided in the law. WebOhio law recognizes two standard categories of DNR orders: 1) DNR Comfort Care, and 2) DNR Comfort Care—Arrest. Both orders aim to protect a person’s right to choose not to receive CPR.
